How it works

What the meter counts.

01

Per token, not per call

You pay for the tokens you send and receive, at the rate of the model that served the call. No setup fee and no minimum monthly spend.

02

Input and output

Input is what you send: the prompt, the context, the documents. Output is what the model generates back, and it costs more because generating it is the work.

03

Cost on every reply

Cruxy's chat route returns usage.cost with the amount and the currency on every response, and every request is logged by its id with its token counts and cost.

Questions

Good to know.

Usage is metered per token at the USD rates above, and every request is logged with its token counts and cost. API prices exclude GST. 18% GST is added for India-billed accounts (input credit available).

Yes. Each key and each organisation has a chat request ceiling per 60-second window, which you can read at GET /api/v1/limits, and an account can have a spend cap. When you hit one the API returns 429 with a code that says which it was: rate_limited clears when you slow down, budget_exhausted does not.

Yes. API usage is billed per token, separately from your plan. Subscription prices include GST. API prices exclude it.

The rate of the model that served the call. Pass auto and the gateway picks Mira, Vaani or Kavi for the request. The cost is that model's, and Cruxy's chat route reports the pick in cruxy.routed_tier.

Your prompts and outputs are not used to train AI models without your explicit, separate consent. Request logs keep the model, token counts, cost and timing, and none of the content.

Build on Cruxy.
